This summer’s program, ROAR, focuses on giving children a 5-day program filled with Bible-learning activities — songs, theatre, crafts, video, games, and snacks! ROAR 2019 will take place from Monday, June 17 to Friday, June 21. Each day’s program begins promptly at 9am and ends at 12pm (lunch is NOT included.)

During the week, children will travel in groups — “crews” led by our teens and young adults — with other children to different stations that reinforce each day’s lesson. Children will also participate in a special mission project to help children in another part of the world, which will teach them about giving to others in need. For this project, kids will be asked to bring an item each day of VBS for school-aged children. These items will then be delivered by a team from FEC Glendale.

In June, a week before ROAR begins, parents will receive a letter containing vital information about their child’s week at VBS, including where to sign in and drop your kids off and “crew” information specific to each child. Also, each family will receive a phone call from their child’s crew leader, to introduce themselves and give reminders about the week ahead.

As a culmination to the program, all families are invited to attend our annual Family Night potluck and program on Friday, June 21, where kids will present what they learned at ROAR! This is also a time for us to recognize all our volunteers and watch a video commemorating the week of VBS! Family Night begins with a potluck dinner — sign-ups for potluck items will take place during the week of VBS.
